AR Point Tapper

Walk an edge and tap points on the ground. Tap a few anchors you have already measured with a tape in the same session, and the points can be fitted to the plan afterwards with the phone's drift taken out.

Checking whether this phone can run AR…

One session, start to finish

  1. Pick a feature below, such as a bed, then tap Start AR and sweep the phone slowly over the ground until the ring appears.
  2. Anchors first: put the ring on two or three taped anchors (a house corner at its base, a post) and tap each one's name.
  3. Edge: walk the edge and tap Mark every metre or so, and at every corner. Hold the phone over the point, aimed well down, not out at a shallow angle.
  4. Close the loop: walk back and tap the first anchor again. That measures how far the phone drifted.
  5. Tap Done, then Share the file to Google Drive. Keep sessions short, one bed each.
